The Arizona Health Information Management Association (AzHIMA), formally known as HIMA of AZ is an affiliate of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). AHIMA is the professional organization representing over 63,000 specially educated health information management professionals who work throughout the healthcare industry.

AzHIMA has over 800 members involved in a variety of healthcare aspects. Our common goal is to provide quality information while providing patient confidentiality. We are responsible for establishing and maintaining policies to meet the mandated standards set forth by the government and other regulatory and accrediting organizations.
